Replacing old faucet handles will update and modernize the overall of the look of your kitchen or bathroom. Best of all, it’s a simple DIY project you can do yourself. So get ready for a fashion makeover for your kitchen or bathroom, all with your own two hands.

Tools required: Flathead Screwdriver, Phillips Screwdriver

Remove the handle button by prying it off with a flathead screwdriver.

Unscrew the handle’s set screw with a Phillips screwdriver by turning in a counterclockwise direction to release the handle.

Remove the old handle from the stem by simply pulling the handle away from the faucet.

There are different types of universal handles, but most will come with one or more adapters. Select the adapter that best fits your handle broach and place it on top of the stem. Tighten the adapter with a screwdriver.

Place the new handle over the adapter. Reinstall the new handle set screw and tighten with the Phillips screwdriver.

Lastly place the index button onto the handle and test handle to ensure it functions properly.
